Hello everyone,

I am currently working with VSRO 1.188 files and encountered an issue related to region binding in the Forgotten World system.

Previously, the system was working correctly , and both Forgotten World instances were functioning normally. However, recently I started experiencing a problem and I am not sure what change might have caused it.

When I enable the region GOD_WRECK_IN in the table _RefRegionBindAssocServer , the GameServer starts normally and completes loading , but after approximately 10 seconds , it crashes with a Runtime Error .

Details

  • Files Version: VSRO 1.188
  • Database: SRO_VT_SHARD
  • Edited Table: _RefRegionBindAssocServer

Forgotten World Regions

  • GOD_WRECK_OUT → Forgotten World 3★–4★Works perfectly (no crash)
  • GOD_WRECK_IN → Forgotten World 1★–2★Causes GameServer Runtime Error

Issue Behavior

  1. GameServer starts and loads normally.
  2. After around 10 seconds , the GameServer throws a Runtime Error and stops.
  3. If I set the value to 0 for the GOD_WRECK_IN entry in _RefRegionBindAssocServer , the GameServer runs normally without any crash.

Important Note

This configuration was previously working correctly , and the 1★–2★ Forgotten World instance was accessible . I am not sure what change might have triggered this issue.

Question

Is GOD_WRECK_IN fully supported in VSRO 1.188 , or could there be missing or corrupted components such as:

  • Region definitions
  • Map files
  • Teleport references
  • Or other related data required for the 1★–2★ Forgotten World instance
I would greatly appreciate any insights from developers or anyone who has experience with this region.

Thank you.

GOD_WRECK_IN is supported on vSRO 1.188, so the problem is most likely not the area flag itself.
If GameServer loads and crashes ~10 seconds later, usually one of the related FW references is broken:
_RefRegion / _RefTeleport / _RefNest / dungeon-related data or missing media resources.

Since GOD_WRECK_OUT works, I would compare all GOD_WRECK_IN-related rows with a clean 1.188 database backup.
Most likely a corrupted or mismatched Forgotten World reference was introduced later.

Thank you very much for your attention and the helpful explanation. I will review the related references and compare them with a clean 1.188 database backup, then I'll come back with the results.

Change "Tab_RefNest" to "clean" and try again. This is often the cause of such problems.
I actually tried something similar — I deleted everything inside Tab_RefNest, and after that the server started working perfectly without crashing.

However, I still don’t understand what the root cause of the problem is. I already compared all the related rows with a clean 1.188 database, and everything seems identical.

That’s what’s confusing me — if the data matches, why was it causing a crash before?

If anyone has an idea about what could cause this kind of issue, or what I should check next, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!
